Meeting called to order at 7:05 pm
Present: Linda Siegel, Teresa Bidar, Wendy Gillund, George Skipper, Chief Pitts, Mayor Spremulli

April Minutes approved

Events
Chamber Orchestra June 4, Wednesday – How many chairs? How long? Rain or shine?
The Chagrin Valley Orchestra has asked for a donation of $100 to pay for the conductor. The Mayor has offered to pay for the donation.
Items that need to be accomplished are:
-Service department set chairs out under the pavilion during the day. -Contact a High School student to clean chairs for service hours.
-Chief will put signs out.
-Chief will assign a part time police officer to handle traffic/parking and safety.
-Check with St. Martins for parking
Village Picnic
DJ Rock and Balloon man are reserved
This is a brainstorm of ideas to use during the picnic: Ask about petting zoo, Bake off, Volley Ball competition, Horse Shoes, Corn Hole, Balloon Toss, Pie eating contest first challenge Chief vs. Mayor
Teresa offered to set a schedule
Discussion revolved around making the picnic a family event with cooperative games.
Pavilion dedication
Everything is in order.
Pavilion reservation
Draft sent by Law Director is approved by committee. (See attached)
The Chief needs to be contacted to approve the use of beer and wine. This will not be advertised. If granted the renter will need to pay for a part time police officer.
Village garden
Jeff Filarski donated $500 from Chagrin Valley Engineer to be used for the Village flower bed. This money will be given to the Garden Club.
Free mulch has arrived and is at the service garage.
May 22 planting of flowers around Village Hall
Historical Society
The Mayor received a letter stating the condition of the structure. (See attached)
Group formed to save structure
Take artifacts to Geauga
Demolish building Sept. 1

Other
Geocach container to be placed in Bentleyville Park and website give coordinates and/or directions to follow.
Possible nature hike to see the Blue Heron nests.
