Meeting called to order.

Present:           Katie Bunker

                        Kathleen Hale

                        Doug Miller

                        Leonard Spremulli

                        Absent, Spencer Pisczak


Dave Strichko present from Municipal Building Inspection Services.


            Dave presented a comparison of Bentleyville permit fees to those of surrounding communities.


            Katie Bunker raised a question about Chagrin Falls fees which were not included in the comparison.


            Dave stated they were recently raised but in his opinion still lower than Bentleyville’s.


            Dave stated the Chagrin Township fees were the same as Moreland Hills.


            Doug Miller raised some questions about the road use fee permit and why we even needed such a permit fee.


            There was discussion by the committee members about the road use fee, waterproofing permit fee and demolition permit fees.


            Committee to recommend that Council revisit the need for a road use fee.


            A general discussion was held about the fee schedule submitted to the committee by MBIS and it was agreed that we should have more time to examine the recommendations which will be taken at our next meeting.


            Dave stated that his goal was uniformity and clarity.


            The committee agreed that when it comes time to take a vote, we will vote separately on each fee.


            Motion was made to adjourn by Miller, Second by Hale.


            Meeting adjourned approximately 8:30 P.M.


            Next meeting scheduled for March 12, 2014 at 7:00 P.M.
