Equipment Use procedures – Tabled until November
Village Hall Sign – Tabled until November
We did discuss the direction of the Village Hall Sign. If the sign was to be changed, I thought it would be in our best interest to hire a landscape architect. However, present at the meeting were four council members and of the four we felt the current sign was satisfactory and refurbishing would all that would be needed. Currently, the sign needs new posts and the actual sign needs repainting. Per my discussion with the garden club, we would appreciate their assistance with the garden bed. The garden club has done a beautiful job around Village Hall and we welcome their continued contribution.
I will submit this plan on the next agenda for more discussion and a vote.
Tree removal from the river in the Village Park – update from Dale
Imperial tree received the contract. They have not rescheduled and we are waiting for the new date. If they change what has been contracted then the project will be stopped, especially if it will damage the environment, for further direction from Jeff Filarsky.
Story Telling – October 10, 8-9pm
George will provide wood
Dale will drop of cooler
John will do the signs
Goals for 2010
1. Re-establish native plants in the meadow in the park. The lower section to right of drive toward the pavilion will be the first section addressed. The cost for ¾ of acre is $750 – $1000. This includes seeds and some labor. Contact Watershed partners for input.
2. Establish a campfire pit in the park
3. Monitor use of equipment to determine better storage (Scheduled)
4. Events? Better advertising (flyers – save the dates)
Lolly Trolley vs. picnic and the 14 song cowboy band. We determined the plan for the year will consist of a set of events pre scheduled and locked in by March.
5. Evaluation of facilities - Schedule
6. Village Hall sign
Bike and Hike path proposal from Mr. Lucas
