Eagle Scout Project
Mitchell Black gave presentation of plan to improve the historical Union Cemetery.
Mitch Black is part of Boy Scout troup 150 and is currently a life scout and wants to become an eagle scout. His plan includes:
-clear weeds out, plant grass, fill in ditches, remove weeds on stairs, replace with stone and level if needed. Add stone bench – cemented, and a sign with historical information. Also, some rubbings of the head stone – graphite scratching. He will start in July, most of the work will be done in August and finish in September on the weekends.
He intends on having two fund raisers – display at Village Picnic and car wash next Sunday.
Ken Kvacek suggested Mitchell ask the Metroparks for quarry rock for the bench and then spend the money on a parking spot off Liberty Road. Also, he suggested that Mitchell check into repairing broken head stones.
Committee Approved $400 for the project.

Proposal for use of chairs, tables, grill, and tent
The proposal needs to differentiate between weekend and weekday. Service department would like the tent to be used only in the park. Why is the grill not included? Should have: form for using equipment and check list.
Committee is not opposed to people using equipment in the interim.
Estimate for tree removal in park
$1400 estimate from Dash Tree.
We would like two more estimates to compare.
John Bourisseau has a play set with swing, slide, and playhouse, He would like to give it to the park? Come take a look at it. Check with insurance and liability.
Linda Mislosky will no longer be able to serve on the committee. We have appreciated her help and thank her for the service.
